DESCRIPTION :

Government Polytechnic Ghaziabad is the premier institute of western Uttar Pradesh. It was started in 1981 from the rented accommodation of Marshal Cycle Factory at Merrut road Industrial area¸ Ghaziabad . Initially this institute offered diploma courses in three disciplines i.e. three year diploma in Civil Engg.¸ Mechanical Engg. (Prod.) And Electronics Engg.¸ with intake of 30¸ 30 and 45 respectively. The Polytechnic was shifted to its new premises at Shastri Nagar¸ Hapur Road ¸ Ghaziabad in 1990. A number of new courses i.e. Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication¸ Diploma in Interior Design and Decoration¸ Part Time Four Year Diploma in Electronics & Mechanical Engg. (Prod). were added during word bank project in 1996. Two more courses on information Technology i.e. Diploma in Information Technology¸ and one year Post Diploma in Information Technology were added in this Institute in Year 2001. In Year 2010 the one year Post Diploma in Networking and Hardware and Post Diploma in Web Technology is added to this Institute.
