Emancipated and enlightened teachers are the torch bearers of the society. Preparing such teahers and creating proper avenues for their holistics development is of course a big challenge. In the year 2004¸ Murti Devi Memorial College Baghpat-Meerut Road¸ Baghpat was established by All India Shiksha Devi Education Society (Reg.) (AISDES)- an institute with innovative teacher education programs to cater the educational needs of students who aspire for teaching profession. In the beging a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for an intake of 100 seats was started.This course is recognized by National Council For Teachers Education (NCTE) a statutory body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Government of India New Delhi. And thereafter this course was affiliated by CCS University Meerut¸ U.P

The strength of MDMC¸ besides the infrastructural facilities it provides¸ is in its congenial and enriching atmosphere which nurtures and encourages lively student-teacher interaction and a striving towards excellence in both curricular and extra curricular areas of interest. Notwithstanding its name¸ the college prides itself in affording a secular¸ libral and yet lively and competitive environment.
