Meerut College¸ Meerut was started in 1892. It is a prestigious institution of Northern India and is catering to the higher education needs of both urban and rural areas. Hastinapur a famous centre of Jain Temples and pilgrimage is 36 km from Meerut city.

The region experiences extream climatic conditions. In summers (April-July) temperature goes upto 42.C and in winter (Nov - Feb) the temprature is about 4.C. The months of August and September experience heavy rains.
