DESCRIPTION :

Moradabad Institute of Technology (MIT) was established in the year 1996 by Moradabad Educational Trust having four trustees namely Mr. Sudhir Gupta¸ Mr. Y. P. Gupta¸ Mr. Adarsh Agarwal & Mr. Anil Kumar Agarwal. Later on during 1998 three more trustees were added namely Mr. Neeraj Agarwal¸ Mr. Arvind Goel & Mr. Pradeep Jain. 
 
MIT is among the first few degree engineering colleges¸ established in U.P. in the year 1996 under the Self Financing Scheme of Govt. of India in the beginning with a modest intake of 160 students. In the course of time institute had grown and started offering nine B.Tech programmes e.g. Computer Science & Engineering¸ Electronics & Communication¸ Information Technology¸ Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering¸ Mechanical Engineering¸ Electrical Engineering¸ Chemical Engineering¸ Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Civil Engineering. Besides B.Tech institute started M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. & MBA programme also. 
  
In 2004¸ institute got accreditation by the National Board of Accredition (NBA) for three of its departments namely Computer Science & Engineering¸ Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
 
In 2008 five programmes & in 2013 three programmes were accredited.
