The Avanthi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AIPS) was started in 2005 by Sri M. Srinivasa Rao¸ M.P¸ Anakapalli & Chairman¸ Avanthi Group of Institutions. The AIPS is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) and approved by AICTE & PCI.

The institution is offering B.Pharmacy [100 seats]¸ M. Pharmacy [15 seats each ] with specializations (PA & QA¸ Pharmacology¸ Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Technology)¸ Pharm. D [30 seats] and Pharm. D (P.B)[10 seats].

The state of art Class Rooms¸ Library & well equipped Lab?s for UG and PG students. The Pharm. D and Pharm. D (P.B) are having Therapeutic training at Maharajah Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) including Drug Information Centre (DIC) to resolve patient queries regarding drugs.

The academic excellence of AIPS Students (Avanthians) for last 8 passed out batches was above 85% marks. Their administrative skills in Co-curricular activities like Health Camps¸ National Seminars¸ Conferences¸ Awareness Camps had been recognized by Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) by initiating IPA-SF Avanthi Chapter.
