DESCRIPTION :

S.D. (P.G.) College¸ Panipat¸ a premier centre of higher learning¸ giving education up to the PG level with emphasis on all-round development of students¸ stands in the heart of the city at the G.T. Road. Its foundation stone was laid in 1968 by Ch. Bansi Lal¸ the then Chief Minister of Haryana¸ in the presence of Swami Gitanandji¸ the exponent of the holy Gita and the most authentic prophetic voice of Panipat. The college is governed by S.D. Education Society (Regd.) Panipat¸ which also runs six more educational institutions in the town¸ all having pre-eminent position in their respective spheres.

When the first batch of graduates passed out in 1971¸ Joginder Khanna¸ who later qualified for IPS and rose to the rank of D.G.P.¸ established the reputation of the college by topping in B.Sc. Examination in the Panjab University and set up a glorious tradition which is being followed till date even by the present generation of students. The list given inside the prospectus mentions our star students who have secured Ist position in the University in different examinations.
