The College was established in June 1991 by Xaverian Educational Society¸ Pilar¸ belonging to the Society of the Missionaries of the St. Francis Xavier¸ which is commonly known as the Society of Pilar.
The College is a minority Institution founded under the provision of article 30 of the Indian Constitution. The College aims at the training of young men/women¸ more particularly the poorer and marginalized section of Society to be leaders in all walks of life and to serve their fellowmen in justice¸ truth and love.
