DESCRIPTION :

Recognising its vast scope¸ the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences was established on self finance mode in 1996 with the introduction of degree course in pharmacy. Presently situated in the Chauras campus¸ the Department holds the honour of being the first Institution¸ approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) in Uttarakhand¸ apart from being approved by AICTE as well. A good number of students of department have qualified GATE examination securing high percentile.  The students have been selected for pursuing Master?s Degree and Ph D in Pharmacy and other allied subjects' viz. Biotechnology¸ Bioinformatics¸ Management etc in the institutes of national and international repute. The alumni of the department are well placed in pharmaceutical and allied industries like Food and Drug Administration¸ Academia¸ Research Organizations¸ Regulatory affairs¸ Community Pharmacy etc.
