Maa Purnagiri College of Education¸  was established in 2008 and received  NCTE  recognition in  Now college is affiliated with Kumaun University Nainital . Presently the College consistsrts of India. The number of students has been increasing day by day.
 
Maa Purnagiri College of Education has a pool of experienced and dedicated Teachers to train teacher student. The various institutions of the college have ¸ Fully Equipped Classrooms¸ Computer Labs¸ Rich and well stocked Libraries¸ Seminar and Conference Halls. There is a provision for rented Residential Accommodation for Students and Staff. The most importent strength of the Institutions is the renowned guest faculty members having distinguished academic achievements in concerned disciplines. To ensure progressive outlook and to introduce innovative teaching - learning process¸ the college planned to undertake various nearby social assignments to keep in touch with the Real - Life social Problems in locality and state of Uttanchal.
 
College is located in remote area in Dist. -Champawat is one of the most important place  in the Northern frontier part of India. College aims at developing manpower of Hilly areas and make the youths employable at one end and availability of teachers for essential education other end.
