Global Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (GIPER)¸ Kashipur is situated in the foothills of the great Himalayas and around 49 kilometers from the Jim Corbett Tiger reserve. It is managed by the KMT trust (Krishna Memorial Trust) which is known for supporting institutes imparting quality education.

GIPER¸ today¸ is a knowledge powerhouse and a brand name in pharmaceutical sciences and its foundation was laid by Dr. A.K. Saxena¸ a well-known name in the field of pharmacy¸ who had the desire to provide quality education and other essential services to the people of the region. The GIPER concept was also endorsed by internationally renowned scientists and they showed their support by gracing¸ International Seminar on Pharmaceutical Education & Research (ISPER) in the first year of the establishment. This event further highlighted the significance of GIPER and made it the first institute in India to hold an international meet in its very first year of inception attended by scientists from USA¸ Germany¸ Russia¸ South Africa¸ Egypt etc.
GIPER was approved by AICTE in 2009 and soon in 2009 the institute was approved for conduct of courses by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). GIPER was also certified by ISO 9001:2008 in 2011.
