DESCRIPTION :

Institute of Management Studies (IMS)¸ a premier institute of Business Management¸ was established on 21 August 1969¸ under the aegis of the University of Indore as the Management education wing of the university. It was named as Department of Business Management in 1974 and was granted the status of Institute of Management Studies in 1988. It is the oldest institute of the city that offers an MBA degree. Initially¸ the organization offered only a 'Distance Education' degree in business administration with three-year duration. However¸ the intake capacity was later increased. Over the period of time IMS has earned a reputation for academic excellence in providing practical and quality academic programmes in the field of Management.

IMS has been continuously working in the field of management education with the objective of creating global leaders who can navigate the ever-changing business landscape. The curriculum is constantly updated to meet the dynamic needs of industry and academia. This provides an opportunity to continuously engage in innovating curricula by envisaging current and emerging challenges and opportunities in the business environment. IMS has signed an MOU with National Civil Defense College¸ Nagpur with an aim to provide knowledge and generating awareness for management of responses to disasters.
