DESCRIPTION :

Our Nursing college are designed to prepare Nurses not only to be skilled in bedside care but also to understand the Principles of Health and prevention of disease¸ and to use these principles to bring health into the lives of those to whom they minister.

Students will have experience in the development of health teaching in the outpatient department and wards of a hospital¸ maternal and child health clinics¸ home visiting both rural & urban areas and domiciliary Midwifery in both rural & urban areas.

Rural experience is of exceptional value due to the fact that a large proportion of our population lives in villages. The development of this aspect if nursing education is of special importance at this time when many plans for rural welfare are being developed in our country. This experience will be valuable becoming familiar with and adjusting to the home conditions and learning the background of the patient. The doctor makes the diagnosis and prescribes treatment¸ but the total care of the patient is left to the Nurse.
