DESCRIPTION :

The College is situated at the historical town of Fatehgarh Sahib¸ a district head quarter about 4 kilometers from Sirhind Railway Station. Mata Gujri College was founded in 1957 to commemorate the supreme martyrdom of Mata Gujri¸ the revered mother of the Tenth Master¸ Guru Gobind Singh. Facing the historic shrine of Fatehgarh Sahib¸ a living testimony of the unique sacrifice of the two younger Sahibzadas¸ Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh who were bricked alive by the tyrannical Mughal rulers¸ the college was built brick by brick by its founders.

Bibi Gurbachan Kaur Mann¸ the founder of the college was a lady of great determination and dedication & vision whose sole ambition was to promote higher education in the area. Starting on a humble scale¸ the college now boasts of a sprawling campus spread over more than 25 acres.
