Saroop Rani Govt. College for Women¸ Amritsar is the only premier government institution¸ situated in Jalandhar division of Punjab¸ which is providing quality and affordable education to girls. The college is affiliated with GNDU Amritsar. Equipped with the facilities and quality staff¸ the college boasts of a pollution-free and grand campus with green cover in the posh area of the city.

From a humble beginning in 1932¸ it was raised to degree level in 1938 and to P.G. level in 1971. It was shifted to the present building in 1963. Besides making progress in academics¸ cultural activities & sports¸ we lay great emphasis on imparting value-based education and on women empowerment . It remains our constant effort to equip our students so as to enable them to meet the challenges of life.
