Affiliated to Panjab University¸ Chandigarh¸ B.S.S.G.Govt. College¸ Sidhsar is located in Sidhsar about two km. southwards from Sihora village.In the memory of martyr Sant Baba Sheehan Singh Gill ji¸ this college came into existence on 13 April¸1970 as Baba Sheehan Singh Gill Khalsa College¸ Sidhsar after the strenuous efforts of Sant Baba Balwant Singh ji Sihore wale. Due to the efforts of Baba Balwant Singh ji this institution plays an indispensable role in providing quality education to the rural students. Otherwise¸ the area would be deprived of higher education. Ultimately for the benefit of rural students the Govt. of Punjab took the charge of this institution and since 29 June¸1983 the institution is known as B.S.S.G.Govt.College¸ Sidhsar(Ludhiana)
