The Ajit Educational & Public Welfare society is promoted by the experienced persons having the spirit of service in the field of medical education and allied areas. The society has its Head office at Sunam¸ Distt. Sangrur¸ on Jakhal Road. The medical and nursing education has tremendous growth prospects in Punjab keeping in the view the trend of the young generation for the professional knowledge in the field of the medical and nursing. The society was incorporated on 22nd day of may¸ 2009. under the Societies Registration Act¸ 1860 with the sole aim of providing medical educational facilities to the population of this area. All the members of the society are well educated professionals¸ socially well off¸ and dedicated to the cause of the education.

At present the state of affairs in Nursing Education is not at par with the world order of the day. Health care is the primary requirement of any civilized society. Government of India has been making all its efforts to provide health for all. The government of India is a signatory to WHO Alma Ala Declaration to provide health for all by the year 2000 A.D. although the facilities for health care to the population have still not reached the common masses is the issue & need of the hour. As such AJIT EDUCATIONAL & PUBLIC WELFARE SOCIETY has taken the venture of providing educational facilities to the students of this region. This would help to produce good citizens by providing them better education in healthy and congenial atmosphere.
