Abohar is an integral part of District Fazilka and is located on the Indo-Pak Border. This town has about 108 satellite villages and has agriculture based industry and economy. Meera College of Nursing was established in Oct.2007 at the time when there was dire need to have quality Nursing Education and improvement in Health Care System in the state Punjab. The college has its own excellent three storey building.

The institute provides insight and knowledge to improve student?s personality. We¸ at the Institute¸ provide conceptual knowledge through highly qualified¸ competent and experienced staff¸ rich and updated library and practical knowledge through well equipped and furnished laboratories.

Nursing¸ a challenging profession¸ is dedicated to the service of humanity. The college trains and prepares skilled nurses. The ability to understand and soothe are as important to a nurse's career as expertise in medical techniques and care. The teaching methods reflect this with interactivity and a stress on communicating with peers and faculty through discussions¸ symposia¸ seminars¸ panel discussions and debates. Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) programs give students every opportunity to listen to experts¸ update and upgrade their knowledge.
