D.A.V College of Education¸ Fazilka is a affiliated to Punjab University¸ Chandigarh and recognised by National Council for Teacher Education. The college is managed by D.A.V. High School Managing Committee¸ Fazilka (established in 1948-1949).

The Society is registered under Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 under the registration No. 39 of 1948-49.

The aims and objectives of the society shall be promotion of charitable and education course for the well being of the people in India and expressly includes the following:

1. To open¸ develop¸ control and supervise education institute and courses.
2. To do efforts and programmes for the well being of the society¸ that is physical¸ moral¸ mental¸ spiritual and social development and develop all round
personality.
