LBS College of Pharmacy¸ Jaipur is located in a peaceful and posh area of the City¸ Tilak Nagar. It is situated at a distance of about 6 km from Railway Station¸ 5 km. from Roadways Bus Stand and 12 km from Air Port.
The society of the college¸ Bharat Sewak Shiksha Samiti (BSSS) has a long history¸ which goes back to 1960. In 1963 BSSS started the institution¸ Lal Bahadur Shastri College¸ founded by Pt. Devi Shankar Tiwari¸ a staunch nationalist¸ freedom fighter and a man of great vision.
The BSSS is making remarkable progress under the able leadership of experienced¸ dynamic and dedicated Shri Prageshwar Tiwari¸ President; Shri Rajeshwar Tiwari¸ Vice-president; Dr. Dinesh Tripathi¸ Member; Shri Rajendra Tiwari¸ Member; Dr. Dhirendra Bhandari¸ Secretary and other members of the Governing Body.
Feeling the importance of technical education; Dr. V.N. Sharma¸ Emeritus Prof. S.M.S. Medical College¸ Jaipur was given the responsibility of establishing the Pharmacy Department¸ as Technical Advisor. Dr. Sharma¸ an eminent Pharmacologist¸ through his professional zeal¸ academic strength and administrative capabilities established the department in the year 1988 with 3 young and dedicated teachers initially to run the diploma in pharmacy course. Under his guidance the department has grown¸ matured and established its reputation as one of the best institutes imparting pharmacy education in Rajasthan.
