Dungarpur¸ known as VAGAD" is situated in the south part of Rajasthan. The area is economically backward¸ a major part of population belongs to Schedule Tribe.
There was no facility of training for graduate teachers¸ but due to the foresightedness of MahaMandleshwer Mahant Shri Keshav Das ji Maharaj¸ the poor students of this area irrespective of cast and religion got an opportunity to complete their B.Ed. training. The college was established in the year 1984. Its foundation was strengthened by kind cooperation and blessing of respected Maharawal Sahab Shri Laxman Singhji¸ Dr. Nagendra Singhji¸ Bhikhabhai and Smt. Kamla Bhil.
Apart from this the college is highly indebted to all respected educationalist of this area who have given their kind cooperation. Today¸ the college is a "hope" for those who wants to start their career as a teacher.
The college has successfully completed a long path of 22 years progress and is running all educational and co curricular activities as presented by the university and NCTE norms."
