Mahendra Institute of Engineering and Technology launched in 2009 by the Mahendra Educational Trust under the visionary leadership of legendary educationist and renowned Philanthropist Shri. M. G. Bharathkumar¸ Chairman of the Trust.

Mahendra Institute of Engineering Technology is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)¸ New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University of Technology Coimbatore. Currently five undergraduate degree programmes and a postgraduate degree programme in Engineering & Technology are being offered. With the commitment of the dynamic management¸ and the dedicated service¸ the institution will expand as a nodal institution of excellence in near future. The total built-up area of the present infrastructural facility is 15¸744 square meter.  With the entire advanced modern class rooms and laboratories¸ computing facilities¸ Library¸ play facilities and Multipurpose Gymnasium¸ the students are provided with all round knowledge¸ hands on training with potential employability skills to be a readily employable engineering graduate in the ever growing changing scenario.
