Tagore Dental College was started in 2007 with the permission of Dental Council of India (DCI) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare¸ Government of India (GOI) for BDS course and with the affiliation with the state owned The TN Dr MGR Medical University. The recognition for BDS course was obtained in 2012. The MDS course in 4 postgraduate specialities was started with the permission of DCI and affiliation of the University in 2018.
