DESCRIPTION :

Rathnavel Subramaniam College of Arts and Science affiliated to Bharathiar University¸ Coimbatore¸ started as first self financing college under Bharathiar University in 1986¸ is located adjacent to the Coimbatore - Trichy highway at Sulur¸ enshrined in a sprawling campus encircled by enchanting greenery.  Within a brief span of two decades the college has developed as one of the largest self financing colleges in Coimbatore region in terms of student strength¸ number of academic programmes and faculty strength.  The college got NAAC accreditation in 2001at four star level and then attained B++ status on reaccreditation in 2007.  The college was granted Autonomy in September 2004. Autonomy has ushered in more responsibility¸ respectability and accountability to the college.  Accordingly the college has made immense progress in several academic spheres moulding academically alert¸ morally sound and socially committed characters oriented to nation building.
