DESCRIPTION :

Diploma in Teacher Education (D.T.Ed.). The course is a co-educational one and it follows 
non-semester system. The Course is approved by the Government of India's National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)¸ Bangalore. The medium of instruction is Tamil. The duration of the course is 2 years. The course is also approved by Directorate Teacher Education¸ Research & training (DTERT)¸ Tamil Nadu.

It is prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Teaching Practice
Teaching Practice All trainees shall undergo an intensive teaching practice cum observation classes for 40 days in each year in the schools allotted.

Eligibility 
Applicants should have passed the +2 ¸ H.Sc. or its equivalent with a minimum of 45% of n aggregate. For S.C. and S.T. applicants¸ a pass in the examination.
