Allum Karibasappa Institute of Management (AKIM) was set up in the year 1998 under the aegis of Veerasaiva Vidyavardhaka Sangha¸ Ballari. The institution is recognized by Government of Karnataka¸ approved by AICTE¸ New Delhi¸ in addition AKIM is the only institute in Ballari to attain ISO 9001-2015 Certification. The college is affiliated to VIJAYANAGARA SRI KRISHNADEVARAYA UNIVERSITY¸ BALLARI.

In 1998¸ AKIM ventured into shaping and training bright¸ young minds in high-quality management education to meet the managerial leadership needs of the country for fast changing environment.
