DESCRIPTION :

Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences was established in 1992. It is one among the few reputed institutions offering nursing education in Karnataka. The College started with Diploma (GNM) and Graduate programs and in 2004¸ introduced Postgraduate programs. It is affiliated to the Nitte University and is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC)¸ Government of India.

The School of Nursing¸ which is a unit of the Nitte Education Trust¸ was recognised by the Karnataka Nursing Council in 1995 and the Indian Nursing Council in 1996. Students who pass out from the school are awarded with a diploma from the Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Examination Board¸ Bangalore.

The Institute offers students excellent facilities in terms of teaching and learning¸ and clinical facilities at the multispeciality Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital thereby providing them with good exposure and training. In addition to the regular teaching programs¸ the students are also offered training in soft skills¸ effective communication¸ value education and job skills¸ so that every student shapes into a complete professional and is gainfully employed.
