DESCRIPTION :

The School of Nursing¸ Mangalore was started in the year 2006 as a constituent institute of Manipal University and recognised by Karnataka Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council. Currently SON¸ Mangalore has BSc. Nursing Programme with an intake of 100 seats. 

We provide excellence in nursing education¸ health care and commitment to human development. The institution has excellent infrastructure with state-of-the-art laboratories and teaching-learning activities. 
Nursing education in Manipal College of Nursing¸ Mangalore is supported by experienced teaching faculty with wide area of expertise in clinical¸ academic and social settings. Students are trained in basic science studies under the umbrella of Kasturba Medical College¸ Mangalore. SON Mangalore also has adjunct faculty from international universities. 

SON¸ Mangalore provides wide area of clinical practices at Kasturba Medical College Hospitals at Attavar and Ambedkar Circle. SON is also a centre for various Continuing Nursing Education Programmes. Furthermore¸ students get opportunities for overall personality development like value education and soft skills training.
