In 1916 a dedicated group of visionaries reveredly called SAPTARSHIS belonging to a Community popularly known as Lingayat¸ observed that large number of Indians were not educated and dreamt to create a strong educational base in the neglected areas of Karnataka and Maharastra Set up on a strong philosophy and fundamental principles¸ the society grew tremendously.

Today this is one of the largest and prestigious Educational Societies. KLE Society boasts of having 205 institutions starting from kindergarten to post doctoral from traditional to professional level of education¸ like Medical¸ Dental¸ Nursing¸ Pharmacy and Physiotherapy Institution. 1¸000 bedded state of the art world Class KLEs Hospitals and Medical Research Centre¸ ICU at Hubli¸ Gokak¸ Gadhinglaj¸ KLES Heart Foundation¸ Kidney Foundation and many more such institutions have added colours to the KLE Society due to tireless efforts of our Dynamic visionary Chairman Shri Prabhakar B. Kore. Apart from Karnataka and Maharastra¸KLE Society also started an International Standard Primary School in Delhi during the year 2004.
