DESCRIPTION :

The Institute of Nursing established in 2008¸ with an emphasis on creativity and disseminating knowledge necessary for providing nursing services to clients of different backgrounds. Both didactic and clinical courses provide students opportunities to learn and to explore the benefits of the nursing profession. The Institute has the advantage of being attached to the SDM College of Medical Sciences & Hospital. The students of this institute gain tremendous insights and practical training through the orientation programs at the SDM College of Medical Sciences & Hospital. The students of the Institute are all members of the Student Nurses Association which is a branch of Trained Nurses Association of India. They participate in a multitude of seminars and conferences held by the Association. The Institute has Diploma General Nursing & Midwifery¸ Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) Degree¸ Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing)¸ M. Sc (Nursing) in 2 specialties. All these four programmes are approved by Government of Karnataka and recognized by Karnataka State Nursing Council¸ Bangalore at the State level and Indian Nursing Council¸ New Delhi at the National level. The Institute is affiliated to RGUHS University¸ Bangalore. The institute boasts of qualified and experienced Principal and faculty members who are instrumental in giving the necessary impetus to the Institute from its establishment and foreseeing the development of the institution.
