St. Joseph?s College of Nursing was founded in 2011 by Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas A Vazhapilly¸ the Bishop of Mysore. Our purpose confirms from our Christian belief in promoting the achievement of intellectual¸ professional and personal enrichment of men and women. We believe that nursing education is a lifelong process¸ and we prepare our students to adapt to advances in scientific theory¸ technology¸ health care in the society. We advocate a holistic approach to nursing¸ and our curriculum goes beyond scientific nursing courses to encompass communication¸ cultural sensitivity¸ ethical and legal issues¸ conflict resolution and decision-making. The students learn to practice nursing with compassion¸ reverence¸ excellence¸ vision¸ enthusiasm and integrity.

St. Joseph?s Hospital Trust was formed under the chairmanship of His Excellency Most. Rev. Dr. Thomas A Vazhapilly¸ Bishop of Mysore¸ with a strong desire to serve the humanity through quality health care education.
