Jayawant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal  has been established in the year 1998¸ under the dynamic leadership of Hon. Dr. T. J. Sawant Sir¸ Founder Secretory. The objective of JSPM is to create centers of excellence for education in the field of pharmaceutical science¸ engineering¸ management¸ computer application etc. JSPM has over the years¸ knitted together a network of six educational campuses throughout the length and breadth of Pune. There are 69 institutes under the aegis of JSPM offering full-fledged school education¸ diploma¸ graduation and post-graduation in various disciplines. JSPM has the rare feat of starting three B. Pharm and one D.Pharm College in a single year.

Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy & Research is located in Tathawade on Mumbai-Pune bypass Highway (Dehu-Katraj Bypass Highway). College has a pollution free beautifully landscaped campus¸ well-designed spacious building¸ sophisticated infrastructure and highly dedicated & competent staff. Dr.K.R.Khandelwal¸ who has left no stone unturned in the field of education and research¸ is the principal of this college. College offers 4 year degree course (B.Pharm) and two years post graduate course M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics & Quality Assurance Techniques. Both these courses are approved by the concerned statutory bodies and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The academic programmes are supported by state of art laboratories & classrooms with audio visual effects. Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research¸ Tathawade¸ Pune¸ one of the premiere college imparting pharmacy education has started post graduate course¸ M.Pharm Pharmaceutics since academic year 2011-12 with sanctioned intake 18 (increased to 24 from Academic Year 2012-13) and got the permission from AICTE¸
