DESCRIPTION :

This Govt. Medical College Latur was started in 26.4. 2002. It is situated in south central part of Maharashtra. Karnataka and Andhra state border stars at 70 km from this place. The college is affiliated to MUHS¸ Nashik. First batch of 100 MBBS students was admitted in July 2003.Admission are made through CET / NEET (85% from state CET and 15% from All India PMT).

The college was started in the premises of District Hospital (200 beds). Kasturba Gandhi Women hospital (60 beds) and Eye hospital (60beds) run by public health department of Maharshtra too were merged.
