DESCRIPTION :

Vidya Pratishtan's School of Biotechnogy (VSBT) is a research organization situated in Baramati¸ 100 km away from Pune. Amongst all institutes and colleges which are imparting education in Biotechnology¸ VSBT emerges as the Sixth Best Institute in the country in private sector. (Source: Biospectrum¸ Aug. 2012). VSBT in Collaboration with Arts¸ science and Commerce College received fundling from DBT(Department of Biotechnology) Govt. of India under Star College Scheme 2009 onwards.

VSBt ¸the team took pioneering effort for University of Pune to initiate on the development of Biotechnology course degree course in 2001 then Graduate and Master Degree in 2002 and 2005 respectively. The Center is now recognized for Ph.D. programmes .The School has also initiated the B.Sc. degree course in Agriculture Biotechnology affiliated to Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth¸ Rahuri in 2009.
