Our aim at the Kirti M. Doongursee College is to make every student self-reliant¸ resilient and adaptable ? qualities that will make not only our students industry ready and employable but also ?life? ready and a ?people of integrity?. Thus¸ in addition¸ to following the rigors of the syllabi laid down by our prestigious Mumbai University¸ we use education as a lever that can bring about social transformation.

Our students are guided and encouraged to join the NSS¸ NCC and Community Service programmes. The idea is to sensitize them about the society and make them responsible individuals capable of effecting real and meaningful change in society and add value while making our students responsible students and change agents.

We also encourage our students to participate in sports and cultural activities and to that end¸ we have striven to provide a conducive atmosphere and proper infrastructure for the same. We believe that student needs are varied and many and our endeavor is to ensure that opportunities are made available to every student to address their individual growth needs.

It is famously said that ?it takes a village to raise a child?. It surely takes all the stakeholders of an educational institute ? the management¸ the teaching and the non-teaching staff and the administration- to educate one and instill in one values and knowledge that will shape a successful and enduring future. To achieve this ideal¸ I urge all our vital stakeholders to join me in upholding our responsibility towards our most important asset ? our students.
