DESCRIPTION :

The N.M.Wadia Hospital was established in June 1912 by the Church of Scotland Western India Mission with only 65 beds to take care of the sick and needy. The bed strength was further increased to 125 beds with specialized service departments which also covered the community health services.
In the year 1974 a School of Midwifery Training was opened for the Registered Nurses desiring to do Midwifery Training. Later in the year 1984 a full fledged School of General Nursing and Midwifery Training was declared open for the first batch of 9 students. Ever¸ since then the School of Nursing has admitted a batch of 20 students each year.
