Maharshi KarveStree Shikshan Samstha¸ established in 1896¸ has a century long history in the field of women?s education. Bharat Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve¸ initially founded the Samstha and dedicated his whole life to educate women. In 1990¸ Maharshi Karve Samstha stepped in higher education and a small sapling turned into a banyan tree.
After 1990¸ Samstha diversified its work to higher education¸ professional education¸ technical education and vocational education. The Institution offers education from Kindergarten¸ Pre-Primary¸ Primary¸ Secondary¸ Higher Secondary schools to Higher Education Colleges. At present the Institution runs higher education units like¸ Engineering¸ Architecture¸ Management¸ Nursing¸ Fashion Technology¸ Arts & Commerce College¸ Vocational Training Institute¸ Laser Technology & Applications¸ Jewelry Design¸ etc. All these units strive hard to develop women into truly empowered and performing citizens in today?s globalization era.
