DESCRIPTION :

Y. B. Patil Polytechnic was established in 1984. The Polytechnic was in Kolhapur and transferred to Pune in 1990 in proximity to Pimpri Chinchwad Industrial Complex. At the present the Polytechnic is in Akurdi Educational Complex of Dr. D. Y. Patil Prathisthan. The Polytechnic is also running second Shift from the academic year 2008-09.

The polytechnic has state of the art building and well equipped laboratories. Students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in addition to regular academics work. The students have won different prizes in these activities every year. From the Academic year 2006-2007 the M.S.B.T.E. Mumbai has introduced the semester pattern replacing the yearly pattern courses. The polytechnic has good hostel and gymkhana facilities.

Departments of  Y.B..Patil Polytechnic has excellent & ambient infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories. Well-qualified¸ motivated¸ and dedicated faculty members are serving in the Institute. Students are encouraged to actively participate in National and State level co-curricular and extracurricular activities. The institute has well planned boys and girls hostel in  the campus with better amenities and ultra-modern facilities.
