DESCRIPTION :

Sinhgad Institute of Pharmacy (SIOP) is established in the year 2005. The SIOP is recognized by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)¸ Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and affiliated to University of Pune. The college has earned reputation as a center for quality education in Pharmaceutical Sciences due to excellent infrastructure¸ well equipped laboratories¸ experienced and dedicated teaching staff¸ well stocked library with internet facility¸ cultural center and sport facilities.
 
The museum at the entrance of the institute is very informative and reflects an overview of pharmacy profession and role of Pharmacist in the Health Care System. A modern machine room (Pilot Plant) and Injectable Section (Steril Area) has been developed to give hands on experience and exposure to the students about work culture and skill requirement to work in the Pharmaceutical Industries and in the various new avenues opening in the Pharma sector such as Clinical Pharmacy¸ Community Pharmacy¸ Biotechnology¸ Drug Regulatory Affairs Novel Drug Delivery and Discovery of new drug molecules. The students are made aware of  the appropriate use of medications; devices and services in ordered to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.
