DESCRIPTION :

Shri Chinai College was established in 1963 in the memory of Shri MathuradasVissanji¸ Sheth Laherchand Uttamchand Jhaveri and Shri Jivanlal Chinai by their descendant Shri PratapSingh Vissanji¸ Shri Pratap Bhogilal and Shri Rasiklal Chinai with the aim to provide quality and value besed education to the students in suburbs.

Shri M.C Chagla¸ Union Minister for Education graced the ceremonial inauguration and the first term commenced in June 1963 with affiliation to the University of Mumbai. The College was originally set up by Laxmi Education Society and managed till 2006-2007;Laxmi Charitable Trust has taken over the managementfrom 2007-2008.

Various Graduate Courses of University of Mumbai are offered viz. B.Com. from the inception ; New Degree Courses Bachelor of Management Studies(B.M.S) from 2000-2001¸ B.Com; Banking & Insurance(B & I)¸ B.Com : Accounts & Finance ( A & F ) form 2004-2005¸ B.Com : Financial Market Market(F.M) from 2008-2009.

Chinai College is accredited with B++Grade by NAAC and housed in a spacious building with extensive open ground.It is located at close proximity to Andheri(East) Railway Station & BEST Bus Depot
