The SIES Institute of Comprehensive Education was started to meet the increasing demand for Pre-Primary education for teachers. With the mushrooming of nursery schools and with the dearth of adequate training programmes to train the personnel to mould the tiny tots¸ it was necessary to start a suitable programme. The institute was established in June 1980. From a mere training centre¸ the institute has established itself as a leading institution for Pre-Primary and Early Childhood Education in the city of Mumbai.
