DESCRIPTION :

This institution was established in July 1962 with the main objective of helping women become self reliant by qualifying themselves to teach in primary schools as teachers. Initially the course was offered in the Gujarati Medium.

In the year 1965¸ 1967 and 1968 Hindi¸ Marathi¸ and English media were introduced respectively.
On completion of the course students are awarded a Diploma In Education making them eligible to teach from classes I to VIII.
It is only one of its kind Teacher Training Institute with three media in Maharashtra. The college has an intake capacity of 240 students.
The admission process is centralized by M.S.E.R.T. Pune.
The eligibility for this course is H.S.C with 45%
The D.ED (Diploma in Education) course is now called D.T.ED that is (Diploma in Teacher Education.) The duration of the new course is 2 and ? years.
