The prestigious Gokhale Education Society was founded in 1918. Our management¸ namely¸ Gokhale Education Society is named after the great national leader Namdar Gopal Krishna Gokhale. Based on his philosophy the motto of our society is ?Dnyanah praptistu bhaktitah? which means that ?only through complete devotion one can acquire true knowledge?. It is in sync with this that our Society (management) was started ?By the teachers¸ for the teachers¸ of the teachers?. In tune with the philosophy of the Society the motto of our institution is ?sa vidya ya vimuktaye?¸ which means ?Knowledge for salvation?. We look at knowledge as the powerful weapon which can be effectively used for the empowerment of the individuals.
