DESCRIPTION :

Vidya Prasarak Mandal¸ Yavatmal established Amolakchand Mahavidyalaya in 1956 the college was blessed by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru¸ the First Prime Minister of INDIA and Yashavantrao Chavhan¸ the First Chief Minister & Architect of Maharashtra & it was Gratifying that the both laid the foundation stone of the College.
 	
While establishing College¸ the Mandal had lofty objectives of importing high quality education to the students in the areas of Humanities¸ Social Sciences¸ Technology¸ as also to shape their personality with moral values. During the last five & half decades or so¸ the college has made stupendous progress in fulfilling the objectives.  The collective efforts of all: the successive Principals¸ Teaching & non- Teaching staff¸ motivated students & all members of the Managing Committee contributed towards this success. 
           
Today¸ the College has acquired a prestigious position not only in Vidarbha region¸ but entire state of Maharashtra. The golden Jubilee of the College was celebrated with the auspicious blessing of Her Excellency Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil¸ Hon?ble President of INDIA. Among several dignitaries that visited the College on different occasion¸ the prominent were Late Shri Madhaorao Scindia & Shri Kapil Siba¸ Present Union Minister of Human Resource Development. 
Over a period of time¸ the College has expanded the areas of study with conscious attempts for adding the employability to the courses. Several student of the College have acquired prominence in different fields of education. 
As president of Vidya Prasarak Mandal having deep involvement in the field of education¸ I consider it our earnest duty to make every possible effort to face the new challenges of ever-expanding world of knowledge & enable our student to live a life with material advancement & spiritual height.
