The Jaypee Institute of Information Technology Declared deemed to be University Under Section 3 of UGC Act. 1957 vide Notification No. F.9-27/2000-U.3 dated 1st November¸ 2004 of the Ministry of Human Resource Development¸ Government of India.

Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) was the first amongst three Institutes of higher technical education¸ raised by the Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan (JSS).

JIIT dedicated to excellence in education¸ has been envisioned by its founder Chancellor Shri Jaiprakash Gaur Ji as a vehicle of enlightenment and empowerment of youth in India. The Institute has defined new innovative programs of learning to produce human resource capable of identifying¸ analyzing and solving problems.
