The New Delhi YMCA started Centre for Mass Media (CMM) in 1984 to conduct post-graduate diploma courses in Public Relations and Advertising and Journalism. The Centre was conceived and launched by Mr. Wilfred Lazarus¸ a reputed journalist. He was General Manager of Samachar News Agency and the Principal Information Officer of the Government of India.
In the last 30 years this Centre has produced more than 15¸000 media persons¸ many of whom occupy high positions in Public Relations¸ Advertising¸ Print Media¸ Electronic Media and Information Technology.
