The Educational Society of Professionals & Vocationals was formed by like minded educationists¸ philanthropists & public spirited persons¸ dedicated to bringing about socio-economic transformation. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860.

Polytechnic for Women commenced its professional programmes in 1979¸ at A-3¸ Ring Road¸ South Extension-I¸ New Delhi-49. During the span of more than three decades¸ the institute has grown to become one of the premier vocational institutes in the country today.

The Polytechnic is equipped with the latest types of equipments¸ machinery¸ gadgets & innovations. Education is imparted to compact groups of students.
The institute awards its own certificates & diplomas for courses which are not affiliated to other Academic institutions like Board of Technical Education¸ A.I.C.T.E.¸ U.G.C. etc.
Graduate & Post-Graduate Degree programs are also available in various courses.
PfW offers degree courses¸ validated by a UGC approved University. Bachelor & Master of Science (B.Sc. & M.Sc.) degree programmes are available in a range of courses .The students get the added advantage of dual-qualification¸ whereby they get a Diploma from Polytechnic for Women & a degree from the University¸ simultaneously¸ upon successfully clearing all examinations of both.
