Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo-Vedic (PGDAV) College is one of the oldest constituent colleges of the top ranking University of Delhi. It was founded in 1957 by a leading business house of Delhi M/s Pannalal Girdharlal (having Corporates such as Victor Cables Corporation Ltd¸ BKG Energy Ltd¸ Standard Wiring Systems Ltd¸ etc) and DAV College Managing Society and is situated at one of the most prime and easily accessible location  in Nehru Nagar (Opposite Srinivaspuri) on Ashram Junction on Ring Road¸ New Delhi  with a sprawling campus. It can be reached easily not only from all corners of Delhi but also from the neighboring towns of Faridabad¸ Ghaziabad and Noida. Lajpat Nagar and Moolchand metro stations are close to the college.

PGDAV College is a co-educational institution. It is well-known for excellence not only in academics but also in sports and other co-curricular activities. It has eleven teaching departments¸ offering undergraduate course of the University of Delhi in the board disciplines of Arts¸ Commerce¸ Computer Science and Mathematical Sciences. It also offers instructions in post graduate courses in four subjects¸ viz. Commerce¸ Hindi¸ Maths and Political Science. Over the years the College has emerged as a centre of excellence under the stewardship of its highly qualified and experienced faculty. Many faculty members are associated with post graduate teaching¸ where they are guiding students at post graduate¸ M. Phil. and doctoral levels. Some of our faculty members have achieved accolades shifting to careers in administration (IAS etc.) and politics as well.
