DESCRIPTION :

Institute of Horticulture Technology has been established under aegis of Akhil Bhartiya Grameen Vikas Sanstha and undertakes Research & Development Projects¸ technology demonstrations in the Technology Park & farmers field. The Institute conducts a number of training courses on various aspects of horticulture - majorly under the department heads of Vegetables¸ Fruits¸ Flowers¸ Nursery¸ Pest Management¸ Micro-irrigation and Hydroponics.

The Institute provides module based capacity building courses to farmers¸ extension officials¸ students¸ supervisors and entrepreneurs in rural as well as Urban-Peri Urban areas by providing knowledge¸ along with a perfect blend of hands-on-training. The comprehensive training imparted at the institute caters to the demands of horticulture industry involved in imports¸ exports¸ distribution and production of horticulture plants.

Dr K L Chadha¸ Padma Shri awardee and a renowned horticulture scientist of international repute chairs the Advisory Committee which guides the institutes functioning. Institute of Horticulture Technology has been empanelled by the Government of India and recognized by renowned agricultural universities for commercial projects¸ capacity building and providing hands on training in Hi-Tech Horticulture.
