DESCRIPTION :

Travancore Engineering College was established in 2002 by Travancore Education Society¸ Kallambalam. The society was registered in 2001 under Charitable Societies Act of Travancore-Cochin 1955¸ by a group of visionaries and educationists with the intention of educational uplift of weaker sections.

Chairman of the Society is A. Sainulabdeen Poonthottam. One of the objectives of the Society was fulfilled with the establishment of Travancore Engineering College at Roadvila near Oyoor. The College started functioning with the approval from All India Council for Technical Education¸ New Delhi and Government of Kerala. The University of Kerala granted affiliation for B.Tech courses in Computer Science & Engineering¸ Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering with an intake of 60 students in each branch of study. The College started functioning in its permanent building on 21st October¸ 2002 under the able leadership of Dr. N. Kesavan Nair as the Principal.
