Little Flower College of Nursing under Jubilee Memorial Hospital is an initiative of Trivandrum Social Service Society which is the first Catholic Social Service Society in India established in 1960 to uplift the poor fishermen¸ farmers and other working classes of the Trivandrum district. In 1987 as the land mark of the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Archdiocese of Trivandrum¸ the society established Jubilee Memorial Hospital in Palayam with motto ?promotion of life through health care with love?. For past 25 years the hospital is catering the health needs of the people from all the walk of life and especially the poor and the middle class in the society.
Seeing the vast opportunity of employment in the health care service sector¸ TSSS started Nursing School as part of women empowerment and their self sufficiency in 1991. Annual intake of the School is 30 students. High sophistication and technology driven health care demands more skilled and highly professional nursing personal. Thus TSSS decided to establish a nursing college with this purpose in 2012 as the mark of 75th Annual celebration of the Latin Archdiocese of Trivandrum and the 25th year of the Jubilee Memorial Hospital.
